Paws 'N Purrs with IMPACT Says Goodbye
With
heavy hearts the remaining Paws 'N Purrs with IMPACT volunteers announce that due to the economic hardships which led
to some of our core members having to leave the area and an overall downturn in donations and board participation, we are
currently in the process of shutting down this organization. We want to thank all of our past and present members for
their support and dedicated volunteer hours. We greatly appreciate each and every one of you and what you gave of yourself
to help animals in need in this area. Over the past three years, PNP hosted 10 large scale adoption events, and with
a recent purchase of pet oxygen masks have donated just over 50 sets of these life-saving devices to local fire departments.
We collected donations for spay/neuter programs and animals in need of veterinary care; and foster home volunteers cared for
no less than 150 homeless pets. Paws 'N Purrs was always a grass roots effort started by a handful of people
who wanted to be a center of support for our community and our local shelters. Even though we were always small
in number, we tried to do big things. The Breath of Life Fund for the pet oxygen mask donations is still very dear to
our hearts and we would encourage anyone who would like to donate a set to your local fire department to do so. Any
non-profit organizations who might be interested can purchase sets through Helping Animals Inc. out of Florida for a special
price. Monies left in our Spay/Neuter fund will be donated to the SJC- SNAP program to keep with it's intended purpose
of helping those who cannot afford to have their animals spayed and neutered an opportunity to do so. All other funds
from our Jami Jones Memorial Shelter Care Fund and remaining General Fund will be divided among local shelters. Thank
you to everyone for your support and please continue to support your local shelters and rescue groups through your donations
and volunteer efforts. If we all continue to work together, we can solve the pet overpopulation problem in our community.
Sincerely, Paws
'N Purrs with IMPACT Volunteers
