NAWS Transport Program This will be a monthly
transport of animals from South Bend, IN to Mokena, IL for low-cost, spay/neuter surgeries.
This program is for DOGS and CATS!!!!
You do NOT
have to live in St. Joseph County to take advantage of this program.
You do NOT have to meet any income requirements to participate in this program.
Please e-mail info@pawsnpurrs.org to get put on a waiting list for future transports.

Mission Statement:
The
National Animal Welfare Society is dedicated to ending pet overpopulation and enhancing the lives of pets by providing low
cost spay/neuter services, wellness clinics, and affordable veterinary care. We do this by educating the public and animal
welfare organizations on the importance of working together to end euthanasia and animal suffering, and building alliances
throughout the United States.

Update 08/03/08: Effective September, 1st, 2008 spay/neuter costs have increased slightly and a $3 transport fee will
be added for each passenger in order for this program to be allowed to continue.

near future due to a high rate of cancellations in some areas.)

CAPSTAR $4 per dose(CAPSTAR starts working in just 30 minutes. A single dose of CAPSTAR should kill the adult fleas on your pet.
If your pet gets reinfested with fleas, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day. CAPSTAR is NOT a flea preventative.
CAPSTAR does not kill flea eggs or larvae. It’s suggested use is for immediate relief of severely infested animals.)

IMPORTANT -There will be a limited number of spots each
month available to the public. These numbers will also be limited to a certain number of male dogs, female dogs, male
cats, and female cats. When a truck is filled to capacity, requests will be added to a waiting list for the next
truck. For the next transport, please e-mail info@pawsnpurrs.org with the following information:

and a Contact Phone Number Current Transport Information: All animals must be in hard, non-broken, intact crates, cages, carriers with working locks. If
you need a crate or carrier, NAWS will provide one for you. Please let us know when you e-mail to sign up if you

check out help. Please contact us at info@pawsnpurrs.org if you can help one morning or evening per month on transport dates.

SJC-SNAP St. Joseph County - Spay Neuter Assistance Program
(Estimated start date: January, 2009)
Mission Statement: The
mission of SJC-SNAP is to provide animal welfare education and spay/neuter assistance to qualifying St. Joseph County residents
andtheir pets.
Goals: - educate the pet owning public on
animal overpopulation, the benefits of s/n, and proper pet care
- provide financial assistance to pet owners who cannot afford the s/n surgery
-reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in our community
-develop a community wide program that involves local shelters and veterinarians
-provide an avenue where different groups involved with animal welfare can come together to share ideas and
resources.
