As of 08/11/08 - We have enough for Jack's next appointment. Thank you!
Update 08/01/08: Jack had another
vet visit yesterday. He is coming along very well, but needs a little more help. He is out of the medicated shampoo
and is in need of at least 6 more weeks worth of antibiotics. They also discovered that the infection has affected his
ears and he needs some ear ointment. Update 07/20/23: Jack has a follow up visit scheduled for Friday, August 1st. With the
help of antibiotics and steroids, he has some hair growing in on his back end and legs. We will post new photos as soon
as they become available.
Update 07/20/18: Jack received more antibiotics at his appointment
on Friday, as well as, some steroids and had a fecal exam which came back negative. We will continue to update
you as his condition improves. By supporting our Hannah's Heroes Fund, animals like Jack who otherwise
would not be able to receive valuable vet care are getting treated for their ailments. Paws 'N Purrs
with IMPACT volunteers thank you so much for your generous donations to this fund.
Update 07/13/08: Jack has his second vet appointment scheduled for Friday, July 18th. We
will let you know if there has been any improvement and if there any changes in his course of treatment.
Jack had his vet appointment on July 3rd and was sent home with a 3 week supply
of antibiotics and some medicated shampoo. Jack's family were able to pay for the initial exam and a generous donation
allowed us to cover the medications. He will need to return to the vet in a few weeks to check his progress. If
we could raise just $30 more, that would help cover the follow up visit. An additional $20 would purchase some flea
spray to help treat his home and yard. A previous donation has already taken care of flea preventative for Jack.
Thank you to all those involved in making sure this sweet boy gets the treatment he needs. We will update the site with
new pictures as Jack improves.
Jack is a great-tempered boy with a big heart. His owner,
a 14 year old young lady, has asked us for help to treat him. She and her grandma have tried everything they can
to make him feel better and she even does chores for her friends and family to pay for his food and
care. We have found help with getting him neutered, but we first need to get the skin condition under control.
Jack has an appointment at Clayview Animal Clinic on Thursday, July 3rd where we will find out more about what his treatment
entails and whether or not he might need a skin scraping procedure or any specialized tests. If you would like
to donate to help a young girl help her best friend, Jack, please click the donation button below and all monies
will go into our Hannah's Heroes Fund where Jack is the current recipient. You may also mail a check
directly to the veterinary clinic or to Paws 'N Purrs with IMPACT with the notation "For Jack -
Paws 'N Purrs". Please help us get this sweet fella some relief. He has scratched to the point of
severe hair loss, but still keeps smiling through it all.
